The first half of the year wasn’t without hurdles, but God remains faithful and we remain hopeful. This newsletter is just to keep everyone up to date on what we’ve done so far and what we hope to accomplish over the next 6 months. Our mission stays the same, but it might take us to new places.

1. Training Events

A. Hope for Kids Teacher Training

📍 R5 Informal Settlement, Okahandja
– 25 Teachers Trained

– 32 Teachers Trained (including 4 pastors)

📍 Jubilee Ministry, Rehoboth
– 13 Teachers Trained
– 12 Churches, Schools & ECD Centres represented

B. Discovery Bible Study (DBS)

Barend leads a weekly online DBS with two couples and a pastor from Rehoboth. These meetings are an encouraging space for growth, reflection, and applying God’s Word.

2. Ministry Story: Impact in Action

“I didn’t know…”
Following the Rehoboth training, Barend visited the host church’s pastor. One of the Sunday School teachers who attended the workshop shared with her pastor how she never realised how much there is to learn about children’s ministry. And within two months, their children’s ministry grew significantly, and they ordered more materials to reach even more children. God is working!

3. Testimony Corner

“The Lord works in miraculous ways.”

“Not having medical aid can be very difficult, especially when you’re sick on the road. I developed a skin rash during a ministry trip. While staying with a friend, she called her son—a GP working on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
He asked for pictures, made a diagnosis, and sent a prescription via message. My friend’s daughter secretly went to the pharmacy to get the ointment.
In a few days, I was completely healed—without leaving the house or paying anything.
It was a miracle! God had me treated by a doctor who was in the middle of the ocean.”

🙏 We also mourn the loss of this friend, who was a faithful and generous supporter of our ministry. May their legacy continue through the work we do.

4. Partner With Us: Support & Fundraising

Your support helps us reach more children and churches with the Gospel. Our goals for the second semester of 2025:

– Train 200 teachers for Hope for Kids
– Equip 40 volunteers as future Teacher-Trainers in Oshana and Ohangwena Regions
-Equip 10 churches, 5 schools, and 5 ECD Centres to use Hope for Kids to reach 600 children
– Train 20 youth in Share Your Faith, and support 5 implementing churches

Funds will go toward:
– Translating and printing materials
– Training supplies
– Travel & accommodation
– Meals for trainees
