A Year of Equipping, Reaching, and Multiplying

INTRODUCTION FROM THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR

Dear Friends and Partners,

As we come to the close of this year, we want to extend a heartfelt season’s greetings to you and your loved ones. We thank God for your faithful partnership, prayers, and commitment to the work of the Gospel throughout the year.

May this Christmas season remind us of the great hope we have in Christ and renew our strength for the year ahead.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

May the peace, joy, and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and in the coming year.

Warm regards,

Rev Barend B de Klerk

National Director – National Director

2025 MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS & IMPACT

This year, God opened doors across Namibia as we continued our mission to equip believers, reach children and communities, and multiply disciple-makers. Through Hope for Kids workshops, youth training, and ministry partnerships, we saw lives touched and churches strengthened across the regions.

Below is a summary of our ministry work

  • Training 118 Children Ministry Teachers
  • During 6 Hope for Kids Workshops events
  • In 4 Regions in Namibia
  • Representing 128 Churches, ECD Centers, Pre-primary and Lower Primary Schools
  • Reaching an estimate of 3840 children over the next 3 years
  • During these workshops 121 adults and children heard the gospel with 29 professions of faith

Apart from our workshops we have been active in other ministries as well and these include:

  • DBS – We had a weekly (Tuesday mornings) WhatsAapp call doing Bible-study, prayer, testimonies and encouragement – disciplining 6 people.
  • Prayer – Barernd joined a weekly (Wednesday mornings) WhatsApp group call with fieldworkers from EESA.
  • Church Growth Group – We joined God’s Healing Family Ministry on a weekly WhatsApp group call (Monday evenings) discussing themes like forgiveness and witnessing – these are attended by most of the congregation.
  • Preaching Appointments on invitation during Sunday morning service, funerals, etc.
  • Counselling – marriage, family feuds, backsliding, etc.
  • Translating material into local languages – as we break new ground we realize the need to translate our material into indigenous languages. With the help of Pastor Laban, we started to translate material into Oshikwanjama and Bishop Lukas Katenda into Oshindonga.

KEY STORIES & TESTIMONIES

Hope for Kids — Growth, Transformation, and New Leaders Emerging

Our Hope for Kids ministry continues to grow far beyond expectations. Each workshop has shown the same pattern: children’s workers walk in feeling overwhelmed, but they leave equipped, confident, and excited to share the Gospel with children.

Okahandja: A Community Transformed

During the workshop at AFM R5, a children’s ministry leader testified that she had been praying for a tool that could help her teach the Gospel in a way that children truly understand. After the training, she said:
“For the first time, I feel ready to lead children to Jesus with clarity and confidence.”

Nine people made confessions of faith during practical ministry time — a powerful reminder that training leads to real, immediate impact.

Ohangwena: Pastors Catch the Vision

Four pastors attended the Ohangwena training. After learning the Hope for Kids method, they committed to introducing it to their children’s ministries in all satellite congregations. One pastor shared:
“This is the most practical tool I’ve ever seen for raising children who understand the Gospel. We will use this in every church under our care.”

Rehoboth: Multiplying Ministry Capacity

A Sunday School teacher shared how the workshop helped revive their children’s ministry, and the church later ordered more materials to expand. The vision for multiplying kid-focused evangelism is taking root in Rehoboth.

Friend’s gift…

As we are in the season of giving, celebrating the Greatest Gift, I want to share the next story…

Recently one of our Hope for Kids teachers, who is also a drama teacher, visited various primary schools in Rehoboth and was well received. She shared the Gospel Path with the children.

The first point of the Gospel path that she shared, Heaven (eternal life) is a free gift (Rom. 6:23) include a gift which is the take-home item. The take-home item helps the children share the gospel with others. The teacher encouraged the children to write a message to a friend in the class and give it to them.

There was one girl that was looking at the teacher while she was busy sharing. This girl gave her gift to the teacher and the following was written in the gift, “You are the best mother I ever had.”

We never know what impact we have when we share the Gospel with love.

TESTIMONY SPOTLIGHT

God’s Healing in the Midst of Ministry

One of our volunteers, Anna, shared a remarkable testimony:
While she was on a ministry trip, she fell ill. Before she could reach a clinic, a doctor — on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic — responded to her message and helped diagnose and treat her remotely. She recovered fully and described it as God placing help exactly where she needed it.

Stories like these remind us that God not only equips us to share the Gospel — He walks with us as we go.

PRAISE BE TO GOD

We give all glory to God for:

  • Every child reached with the Gospel
  • Every teacher, leader, and pastor trained
  • Every open door in every town
  • Every act of provision
  • Every testimony of healing, transformation, and salvation
  • Every volunteer who faithfully served
  • Every donor who sustained the mission
  • For travel mercies
  • Hospitality in the communities we worked in
  • Good health and healing of my wife
  • Answered prayers

God has been faithful. God has been generous. God has been present in everything we have done.

To Him be the glory.
