As we reflect on the first six months of 2026, we are overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness. Every journey, every conversation, every training session and every profession of faith reminds us that the Gospel continues to transform lives. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and support that make this ministry possible.

January: God’s Provision

Bibles for Namibia

One of the greatest needs when equipping believers to share the Gospel is access to God’s Word. We were blessed to receive a generous donation of Bibles in Afrikaans, English, Portuguese and Spanish from South Africa.

The challenge was transporting these Bibles to Namibia, as the shipping costs were beyond what we could afford. Importing them duty-free was another hurdle.

God once again proved Himself faithful. Bezers generously supplied and fitted a tow bar to our vehicle, while a family member made a trailer available for the journey. Using our own funds, we travelled to South Africa to collect the Bibles. We praise God, our faithful Provider, who always supplies what is needed for His work.

Hope for Kids Resources

During the same trip, we also received Hope for Kids training material at no cost. Commercial transport from Pretoria to Namibia would have cost approximately N$20,000, making collection by road the only practical option.

These resources will help equip children and those who minister to them with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

February: Hope for Kids in Walvis Bay

Our Hope for Kids workshop in Walvis Bay brought together 15 participants representing 10 different churches and schools.

The Lord worked powerfully during the training, with four people making a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We rejoice that those being equipped to share the Gospel first experienced its transforming power themselves.

March and April: Ministry in Northern Namibia

Looking, Listening and Learning

We spent several weeks in Oshakati with one clear purpose: to look, listen and learn. We wanted to understand the local culture so that we could serve the churches effectively and build lasting relationships for future ministry.

Passover Camp Outreach

During the Passover weekend, churches from the Christian Baptist family and partnering congregations gathered in Oshakati for teaching, fellowship, worship and prayer.

We had the privilege of presenting a Share Your Faith Seminar followed by practical “On-the-Job Training.”

During the outreach:

More than 60 people heard the Gospel.
More than 40 people made a profession of faith.

One unforgettable moment came when an 11-year-old boy shared his testimony of confidently presenting the Gospel to adults. His boldness was a powerful reminder that God can use believers of every age.

Translating Training Material

One of our biggest challenges has been making Evangelism Explosion material available in Oshiwambo.

We are deeply grateful to Bishop Lukas Katenda of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church and Lettie, who volunteered their time and skills to assist with translation at no cost. This work will make future training far more accessible to churches throughout northern Namibia.

Hope for Kids Workshops

At the Oshakati Christian Baptist Church workshop, attendance was smaller than expected, with five participants. Yet God often begins with a faithful few. One participant has already recruited more than 30 people for the next workshop.

In Ohangwena, the response was very encouraging. Twenty people, including two pastors, attended the workshop, opening doors for future training opportunities. During the workshop, five participants made a profession of faith.

Preaching Opportunities

God also opened many doors for preaching and relationship building. We were privileged to minister in:

Ombata
Omuthiya
Ohangwena
Oshakati

Each invitation strengthened relationships with local churches and created opportunities for future Evangelism Explosion training.

Partnering with Church Leaders

During our outreach, we also participated in a seminar hosted by the Full Gospel Church and led by Dr Raymond Ackermann (South Africa) on the Heart of Man presentation.

Barry served as one of the outreach team leaders.

The impact was remarkable:

Nearly 200 believers participated in outreach.
Almost 600 people heard the Gospel.
More than 300 people made a profession of faith.

We praise God for this incredible harvest and for the privilege of working alongside so many churches with a shared passion for reaching people for Christ.

May: Rest, Reflection and New Partnerships

After six weeks in northern Namibia, we returned home for a time of rest, reflection and planning.

As we considered the next steps, God connected us with ministries that share our heart for strengthening the Church.

These include:

Multiply Network, which helps churches identify areas for healthy growth and discipleship.
Every Home for Christ, whose vision is to place Gospel literature into every home through tracts available in Namibia’s local languages.

These partnerships will help us better serve churches as we continue expanding ministry in northern Namibia.

June: Back to Oshakati

Our return to Oshakati was marked by both sorrow and celebration.

We walked alongside families experiencing the pain of death, offering the comfort and hope found only in Christ. At the same time, we celebrated new life with the birth of our third grandchild, reminding us of God’s continual faithfulness.

Throughout the month, God continued opening opportunities to share the Gospel, strengthen relationships and encourage believers. We remain excited about what He is doing in northern Namibia.
